A global software development team spread across multiple countries (and time zones) is presented with unique challenges, especially when adapting Scrum. This post presents what didn't work for us in our journey, with the goal of helping your team go through these complexities and be more efficient. 

Scrum for global teams: What doesn't work?

Applying Scrum efficiency in a highly distributed team is challenging and requires creativity. A lot of the standard recommendations have to be bent to set this new team configuration up for success.  If you haven't read it already, do check out the first part of this 2-part blog post, where I talked about the failed experiments to adapt Scrum to my global team. In this post, I will talk about the 3 things that worked well for us. I hope they can also help boost the efficiency of your team.
