As our first UX Writer, you’ll help set the tone for what great looks like when it comes to all things copy-related; from the detailed and functional aspects of microcopy to the bigger picture of information architecture and developing content models. At its core, you’ll interface with cross-functional product teams to steer and craft their copy choices based on a deep understanding of our users and their needs. </p><p>We believe highly intuitive, usable and accessible product copy is just as essential to the overall experience as any other element on the screen.  </p><p>But being the expert microcopy is only half of the job! </ul><h2><br></h2><h2>The job in a nutshell:</h2><p>We are looking for a <strong>Senior Quality Engineer</strong> to join our engineering department and help us bring our product to enterprise-level maturity. Your work will directly impact hundreds of thousands of users around the world.</p><p>As our user base grows, our code base grows, and our engineering capacity expands, we also need to take our quality engineering to the next level. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to implement good practices and instil a great quality mindset within the engineering team and beyond. </p><p>Some of our goals are to improve the user experience, increase the quality of our processes and deliverables, reduce the number of defects propagated in production, improve our recovery time, and, ultimately, achieve quality at speed!</p><p>Test automation and acceptance testing will be regular duties to achieve these objectives, but obviously, there’s more! As a senior member of the engineering team, you will work together with our product team, our customer success team, as well as the different engineering teams (candidate environment, employer environment, internal tools, cloud infrastructure, etc.). You will provide leverage and support, but also guidance, working in a collaborative, talented-distributed team across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. </p><h2><br></h2><h2>You’ll spend time on the following: </h2><ul>
<li>Thoroughly learning TestGorilla’s software</li>
<li>Taking full ownership of the quality for TestGorilla systems and products. This involves participating in defining and implementing our quality strategy, infrastructure, tools, and processes</li>
<li>Ideating, implementing, maintaining, and reinforcing high quality standards leveraging reusability and scalability</li>
<li>Developing complex end-to-end automated testing solutions with integration in CI/CD environments</li>
<li>Working regularly on functional, usability, regression, and performance testing on both frontend and backend components</li>
<li>Identifying and working with metrics that track the continuous improvement of our overall quality</li>

<li>You have experience designing, implementing, running, manual and automated tests for web and distributed systems</li>
<li>You have a solid understanding of quality engineering processes and good practices in software development</li>
<li>You have hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks, for both frontend and backend components, such as Playwright, Mocha, Supertest, Cypress, Postman…</li>
<li>You care deeply about building a world-class engineering team</li>
<li>You are passionate about improving your skills and learning new technologies</li>
<li>You enjoy and are good at influencing others</li>
<li>You always advocate for technical excellence</li>
<li>You have strong opinions loosely held, always open to change under the right circumstances</li>
<li>You’re resilient in ambiguous situations and can approach challenges from multiple perspectives</li>
<li>You have strong written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, you know how to validate your decisions and communicate them clearly</li>
</ul><p>We typically expect candidates with at least <em><strong>5 years of Senior Quality Engineer experience</strong></em> to have the skills mentioned above. </p><h2><br></h2><h2>Bonus points if…</h2><ul>
<li>You have experience in Javascript and Python </li>
<li>You have experience in a SaaS product based company</li>
<li>You are comfortable with Agile methods, such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum, and/or Kanban</li>
<li>You have a working knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker</li>
