Role Overview

We are looking for a young, motivated Apprentice Motorcycle Mechanic with RSA passport to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will receive hands-on training while working alongside experienced mechanics to develop your skills in motorcycle repair and maintenance. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about motorcycles and eager to learn the intricacies of the trade in a supportive and innovative environment. The candidate would need to travel with team to events. Should the apprentice qualify and meet the teams demands, the opportunity for international travel would be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced mechanics in diagnosing and repairing motorcycle issues, including engine performance, electrical systems, and braking systems.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake adjustments under supervision.

  • Learn to utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and troubleshoot mechanical problems.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.

  • Document repairs and services performed, ensuring accurate records are kept.

  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance mechanical skills and knowledge.

  • Work closely with riders.

  • Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in motorcycle mechanics

  • Strong willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals

  • RSA passport

  • Own transport

Preferred:

  • Prior experience or coursework in automotive or motorcycle repair.

  • Knowledge of motorcycle safety and maintenance standards.

  • Understanding the workings of a motocross bike.

  • Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools used in motorcycle repair.

  • Understanding of motorcycle systems and components.
