As we expand our diverse, fully remote international team, we are seeking a proactive and highly skilled HR & Payroll Advisor to lead both operational and people-focused HR functions with empathy, precision, and integrity.
This hybrid, part-time role combines payroll administration, HR operations, and employee relations support. You will manage payroll and administrative processes across multiple regions, contribute to internal HR policy development, and serve as a trusted point of contact for employee matters. Reporting directly to the Company Director, you will work closely with the leadership team and external partners to ensure accurate, compliant, and people-centred HR operations that support a healthy and inclusive workplace culture.
Payroll Management
Process payroll for employees and contractors across the UK, Europe, and Asia
Issue payments via direct deposit, cheques, or alternative methods; manage payroll timelines
Maintain payroll reports, records, and tax documentation
Respond to payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies
HR Administration
Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and performance documentation
Track working hours, leave, and classification of staff and contractors
Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and general HR administration
Employee Relations & Support
Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns, conflicts, or wellbeing issues
Provide confidential and empathetic guidance; mediate HR issues when needed
Support line managers in handling sensitive matters in line with cultural and legal best practice
Policy & Documentation
Draft, review, and implement internal HR policies (e.g., wellbeing, grievance, remote working)
Develop clear, accessible documentation and employee guides
Align policies with applicable employment laws across different regions
Compliance & Collaboration
Stay informed of payroll and HR legal requirements across jurisdictions
Support audits and reporting in collaboration with leadership and external providers
Provide administrative support to the Company Director and senior team as required
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
A firm grasp of mathematics
At least 5 years experience in HR and payroll roles, including international or remote contexts
Proven experience handling sensitive employee issues and compliance requirements across multiple regions
Technical Skills
Proficient in
Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive,chat)
Microsoft Office
ClickUp (project management or similar feedback and performance tools)
HR/payroll platforms (e.g., Gusto, BambooHR, Remote, Deel)
High typing speed (70+ WPM) and excellent attention to detail
Strong analytical and documentation skills
Soft Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication (C1 English level or above)
Empathetic, discreet, and culturally aware
Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities independently in a remote setting
Infrastructure Requirements
Reliable internet connection (minimum 30 Mbps)
Windows 10 or newer computer with at least 8 GB RAM
Typing speed of 70+ WPM
