At Blue Water Marketing, we scale 7-figure Shopify brands with financial intelligence, creative at scale, and a media buying system that ties directly to client profitability. We manage over $300K/month in Google and Meta ad spend, and use a proprietary approach focused on CAC, aMER, MER, LTV, and contribution margin to drive efficient, sustainable growth. Now, we’re looking for a Google Ads Media Buyer who can own strategy and execution for our clients—someone who sees paid media through the lens of profitability, not just traffic.
Campaign Strategy + Execution
Build and manage campaigns across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, and YouTube
Align each campaign with a client’s business model, LTV:CAC ratio, product margin, and growth objectives
Architect account structures that can scale—SKU segmentation, asset grouping, and bidding strategy tied to financial guardrails
Daily Optimization & Testing
Optimize for performance metrics like ROAS, MER, and contribution margin—not just clicks and CTR
Develop testing frameworks for ad copy, keyword themes, product feeds, and bid strategies
Run feed audits (Google Merchant Center) and collaborate with devs to ensure clean, high-converting product data
Reporting & Strategic Analysis
Create weekly and monthly reporting using Triple Whale, GA4, and internal dashboards
Uncover insights that fuel next-step actions—why something worked, why it didn’t, and how we evolve
Provide async updates via Loom and Slack with clarity and ownership
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Feed creative learnings back to our content team for new ad iterations
Join internal strategy calls to plan growth roadmaps and launch tests
Share critical KPI shifts daily—your work directly fuels the client’s bottom line
A True eCom Media Buyer – You’ve scaled multiple Shopify stores through Google Ads with $30K–$100K+ monthly budgets
Performance Obsessed – You think in ROAS, CAC, LTV, and margin—and you optimize for profitability, not vanity metrics
Strategic + Hands-On – You’re as comfortable writing winning ad copy as you are auditing a PMax structure

Have experience with YouTube Ads (scripting, testing, scaling)
Have worked inside agencies with multiple eCom clients at once
Understand product contribution margin and finance-led media buying
Have experience with country-specific scaling (US, Canada, UK, AU, etc.)
