Position Summary:

The Logistics Manager oversees the entire supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to customers. This role involves managing transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution, while coordinating with vendors and internal departments to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and oversee logistics operations including inventory management, transportation, and warehousing.

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.

  • Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and transport companies.

  • Optimize routing and delivery systems to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.

  • Resolve issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies.

  • Monitor performance metrics and prepare logistics performance reports.

  • Manage a team of logistics staff and provide training as needed.

  • Implement safety standards and best practices in logistics operations.

  • Develop strategies for improving logistics processes and reducing costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.

  • Strong knowledge of logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS).

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Office and warehouse environments.

  • May involve travel to suppliers, warehouses, or distribution centers.

  • Occasional extended hours or weekends during peak periods.
