Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Direct Response Copywriter who excels at crafting persuasive, action-oriented copy that drives conversions. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating new copy and editing GPT-generated copy specifically for cold email campaigns, as well as other marketing channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of increasing open and click-through rates, building brand credibility, and generating measurable results through well-crafted copy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and refine GPT-generated content for cold email outreach, ensuring messaging consistency, strong calls to action, and alignment with brand tone and style.

  • Write compelling headlines and subject lines to increase open rates and generate engagement.

  • Develop persuasive, action-oriented copy for landing pages, sales funnels, and other marketing assets.

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to identify customer pain points and craft messaging that addresses those needs.

  • Conduct A/B testing on email copy variations to optimize performance and improve key metrics (open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate).

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and compliance regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR) for email marketing.

  • Research target audiences, competitors, and market trends to inform copy strategy.

  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and style across all campaign materials.

  • Track and analyze campaign performance to continually improve conversion rates and other KPIs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in direct response copywriting, particularly focused on email marketing.

  • Strong editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to enhance content generated by AI tools (e.g., GPT) to ensure clarity, tone, and impact.

  • Excellent understanding of marketing principles, buyer psychology, and how to structure copy for conversions.

  • Familiarity with cold email best practices and relevant regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM).

  • Ability to write concise, persuasive messages under tight deadlines.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, optimize content, and report on results.

  • Experience with A/B testing tools and CRM systems preferred.

  • Self-starter who can work independently and in cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (preferred but not required).
